Yeager

My name is Yeager and I am 3-4 years old. I came into rescue after being abandoned and my heart is lonely and looking for a new family. I long for the loving touch of humans and if you pet me I will stand all day and just drink it in. It feels so good to be loved. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not a moody kind of guy. I am actually quite a happy fellow with a clownish sense of humor. I’ll talk to you too and am very expressive. (note: Yeager has a variety of vocalizations – not barking- he makes that all mean something. He really does communicate and it’s charming.) If you get to know me you will see what it is I am trying to say. Oh, how I wish people could speak “dog” so communication was easier! By the way, I can be quiet too and I’m not one who can’t hold his peace.

My foster sister Samantha has taught me how to play. She’s kind of bossy sometimes but that’s ok. We play hard and it’s fun. My foster dad won’t let me up on the furniture but I keep asking. That sofa sure looks comfy. I will put one paw up on it and look at him to see if maybe this time he will say yes. I make him laugh. He says I have a great sense of humor.

Life has taught me to be exuberant and to live each day to the fullest and I truly do. Adopt me and you will get someone who appreciates you, loves attention, is athletic, has a sense of humor and will even have conversations with you. How many dogs do you know who do that? One last thing: I don’t care for cats! Ask for me at www.doberescue-ne.org.
