Bert

My name is Bert and I am a 5 year old male.   I am a laid back dog that loves attention. I am also very food motivated and eager to please.  I can use a doggie door and am housebroken.  I will follow you wherever you go and lie quietly beside you, the perfect companion and I am told that I am a bright student who learns things quickly and I hardly ever bark!  The things that get me really excited are car rides, going for walks and food!  I must say I walk nicely on a lead and am a gentleman in the car too.

I can be somewhat afraid of other dogs, probably as a result of either not being socialized with other dogs or dominated by another dog growing up.  If I am properly introduced to other dogs I can learn to accept them.  I am not good with small animals like cats and would not do well in a home with cats.

I love people and will approach anyone for attention and appear to be good around children and am very gentle when near them.  I am a stout Doberman with a compact build and cropped ears that don’t stand.
